Performance by officers of the National Office of Industrial Property to celebrate great national occasions

Since May of 1997, the Industrial Property Gazette has been published twice a month. The volume A publishes the applications for inventions, utility solutions and industrial designs and the volume B publishes the granted industrial property subject matters and the decisions on the amendment, suspension, revocation of protection titles, licenses or industrial property rights over industrial property subject matters.

By the end of 2001, the National Office of Industrial Property has published 165 issues of Industrial Property Gazette, consisted of 221 volumes. Thousands of specifications for inventions/ utility solutions, which were filed with the National Office of Industrial Property or patented in Vietnam, have also been published. The above-mentioned documentation have been stored at the National Office of Industrial Property and exchanged with 27 countries and international organizations. The National Office of Industrial Property also sends the Gazette to the People's Court, the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, the Science, Technology and Environment Inspectorate, the local Market Management Organizations and other concerned Ministries, branches and individuals if it is in need.

The Nationals Office of Industrial Property has completed electronic databases for storing and searching published trademarks, inventions and utility solutions. The database was installed in many Departments of Science, Technology and Environment in order to broaden the scope of use.

At present, the Nationals Office of Industrial Property is promptly completing the electronic database so as to connect to global network WIPONET. It is expected that by the end of 2002, every local and foreign individuals and organizations can access to the Internet to search information on the industrial property subject matters that were filed or patented in Vietnam.
